Abergwili Museum building was once the former Palace of the Bishops of St Davids (1542-1974 ) and it was here that the New Testament was translated into Welsh in 1567. The building is now home to the welsh museum exploring different aspects of life from life on the farm, home front in WWll, archaeology and much more.
Gwili Railway is one of the UK’s most picturesque preserved lines. It was one of the lines that fell victim to the Beeching reforms in the mid sixties.The National Wool Museum was historically the most important and wide spread industries in Wales. We can follow the process from fleece to fabric, visit the restored listed mill building and see the Historic Machinery. We visit Newcastle Emlyn which is on the River Teifi. In 1718 the first printing press was set up. The castle has fantastic views of the river.
