A free day in Eastbourne to  explore this beautiful town. The 19th-century Eastbourne Pier and a 1930s bandstand. Towner Art Gallery includes modern British works.     Nearby, Redoubt Fortress, built during the Napoleonic Wars, has a military museum.

 

We visit Hastings where  we can discover the filming    locations for Foyles War or find out about the towns    history through the period of 1066 and beyond. There is plenty more to this beautiful town. Take a stroll along the sea front or browse the shops. Have a lovely lunch and much more.

 

We visit Brighton Royal Pavilion and take a stroll through the historic rooms and discover the secrets they hold. In 1914, the Royal Pavilion was transformed into a hospital for the treatment of Indian soldiers wounded while fighting on the Western Front. Brighton was known as a health resort so it seemed an obvious choice.
