The National Trust’s Needles Old Battery is spectacularly sited above the Needles Rocks and has the best views you can get from land. The tea-room is in an old look-out tower. You can find out the importance of the Battery during  both World Wars

Osborne House was built between 1845 and 1851 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and rural retreat. Albert designed the house himself, in the style of an Italian Renaissance palazzo. Queen Victoria died at   Osborne House on 22 January 1901, aged 81.

 Ryde Bus Museum is run by volunteers. It has an incredible collection of vehicles as well as memorabilia (Some from Cornwall). The Isle of Wight Aviation Museum tells the story of how the Island was home to budding aviators in the early 19th century. Learn how the Island was at the very centre of the action over the skies of Britain during WWII.

 After breakfast we make our way to the Hover Port where we have a short flight over to the Isle of Wight. It is a wonderful experience and when you arrive there is free time. You can catch the train through to Shanklin, Hop on a local bus or visit Rydes Bus museum. Later we return to our hotel in time to relax before dinner.
