At the De Havillen Museum they have two huge hangars (the Walter Goldsmith Hangar and the Geoffrey de Havilland Hangar) with most of our collection undercover protecting you and our artefacts from the weather. There is a third hangar (the Amy Johnson Hangar) where you can view our volunteer restoration teams at work. There is an outdoor grass aircraft park with eight other aircraft, some of which we try to make available to visitors when the ground is dry and firm.   

Hatfield House was built by Robert Cecil, 1st Earl of Salisbury and Chief Minister to King James I, from 1607 to 1611. There is a marvellous collection of pictures, furnishings and historic armour on display. The estate has been in the Cecil family for 400 years - one of England's foremost political families. Hatfield House is the home of the 7th Marquess of Salisbury. 
The Royal Palace of Hatfield (c 1485) in the West Garden is where Elizabeth I spent most of her childhood. In the park, an oak tree marks the place where the young princess Elizabeth first heard of her accession to the throne. 

Mill Green Museum is an 18th Century restored working watermill it is a remarkable piece of machinery. It harnesses the power of the river Lea to grind grain into flour and is part of a 1,000 year history of milling on this site. You see the mill in action and the Miller will explain more about this ancient craft, exploring how wheels and cogs, big and small, work together to move grain through the mill stones to turn it into flour.

THE COMET HOTEL 3*The Comet Hotel 3* first opening its doors in 1936, the original Comet Hotel was named for the locally built de Havilland Comet DH.88 racing aeroplane, All rooms have en suite , tea and coffee facilities and T.V. The hotel also offer a wide range of leisure facilities including a swimming pool.
