Birr Castle is set in 120 acres of stunning parklands and gardens and was built in 1170. The castle is private family home. While here why not visit Irelands historic science centre, discover the Great Telescope and the Lunar Heat Machine. You will also see one of the worlds oldest darkrooms.

Shannon Bridge to Clomacoise boat trip is definitely a hidden gem. It is a very relaxing cruise with beautiful Irish scenery and a very knowledgeable crew. So relax and enjoy the tranquility.

Kilbeggan Distillery was established in 1757 and sits on the River Brosna. It is the worlds oldest distillery. The whiskey they make is double distilled which is the old way of making it as it preserves more flavour.

The County Arms Hotel is an 18th Century Georgian House Hotel. It combines old world gradeur with contempery  design. All rooms are comfortable with en suits. The hotel has a bar, restaurant and 24hr reception.
